Promoting blog

I have a blog.
It consist of my own opinions.
I do not have adsense.
I do not make money from blogging.

But if i want to promote my blog because there is some unpopular opinions, which may or may not get me banned on a hardware zone, how do I go about this?

Any tips?

I don't want to be penalize for something as silly as advertising in a forum, where we supposed to share information and ideas. LOL

It seems like a long shot but if I were to pay money to promote my thread, "promote my thread", will I be able to post my blog link?

It will technically be me paying hardwarezone for advertising.

The underlying premise for that function is to gain good visibility in a sea of discussion threads.

All forum rules still apply - i.e., no adverting, linking out to promote your own site/blog, etc. It's clearly stated in the use of that function.

If you feel that your topic will be disallowed in the forum, there's no difference in posting it on the forum or linking people out to it - either way, it will still be disallowed, regardless if you are promoting your site or not.

Dun bother advertising here. They will just block u without any clear reasons.
There are tons of posts here promoting businesses here and nothing much has been done on these.
True that they ask u to report these posts, but those will just be ignored. Been there and done that.
If u wan do advertising, just go thru proper channel via SPH
