CPL -> CFC: Top 10% of cohort only, last six months of service afaik

this is just a rough guideline... the units may or may not adhere to the guideline.

all ranks must serve min of 6 mths before promoting to the next rank, some units will enforce silver for CPL and gold for CFC. so units don't even have CFC cause OC/PC/admin cock up/lazy

just turned 1 year CPL already... most likely their superior don't know the directive and just promote them since they have done sufficient work.

sometimes, even the non-combat promote faster than combat

thats new, I thought combat pay means combat pay of $100. no difference if you are support or non support. only know CDO and EOD or CBRE gets the extra risk pay of $50.

if i remembered correctly, my time combat bonus is $100, combat support bonus is $50.

Actually it's just corporal aka man nia.

think of CFC as basically a man that has been proven to have the capability to assume the roles of a junior commander.

so if got enough sgt then do man work. but if not enough sgt then do sgt work.

Go back reservists, so many 2sgt. No worries of lack of Sgt.
