Casey sent me the photos of the Solasfera which I bought.
0.54c, VS2, colour E

I punched in the values at pricescope and found out the HCA to be only 1.5, and scintillation only 'very good', which I was quite disappointed with..

But well, I just hope my girlfriend will like it.

poiiop! HCA is used to calculate standard rounds, not modified cuts like a Solasfera:s12:

REALLY? You guys just made my day. :)

I saw some people calculating his/her Solasfera too, so I went to do it as well. Now I know why Casey didn't talk about HCA to me when I was looking at the Solasfera!

PPkiller, you got PM.

Diamond prices always change alot when you jump category.

Take For Example

Mine is a 0.46 D VS2 Triple Excellent

with settings dmg is 3400++

Someone bought a 0.46 D VS1 Triple Excellent also

But it cost much more

Both score 1.3 at HCA.

i would say there is quite a bit of fluctuations each month.

Anyway i am a layman, maybe some experts can give us a better understanding of it ^^

you looking for me lol

Check out the latest video that Paul uploaded.

Solasfera really do look dazzling.

What is the premium we're looking at over a standard round?

looks good babe :s12: The Brellia's by them have really nice symmetry and light return, very identical when you compare the pictures posted here

Thanks...! Not really sure if it was a worthy investment...as I'm not too good in diamond knowledge.. the images I posted seem the same to me as others posted here.. Haha...

My fren got hers ard 1 yr plus ago.. A triple excellence 0.82 F colour, VS2 solitaire at 6.1k only inclusive of setting.. Mine seem much more expensive compared to hers.. Is it due to the price fluctuations of diamonds as well as the slightly more premium pricing of brellias in general?

The images probably looks the same due to their quality.. They did explain their cut off standards and how they reject alot of their stocks which doesn't pass their mark..

Haha.. I wish I got my diamond last year too! To give you a sense on how much diamond prices are increasing over the years, look at the graph
http://www.ajediam.com/investing_diamonds_investment.html

Notice the links name "investing diamonds..." lol. If only I had enough money, I'll start investing in them!! *Winks at evofire* hint hint...

if you look at the previous thread, a few months ago we were talking about the fluctuation of prices, since last year it's up more than 40% :s13:
