0.90 is a rare size for a super ideal.. Do you have the scope pictures? You can't just rely on the GIA description and HCA to consider the diamond.

I don't have the the scope pictures but I will get it and post it here. On the day when we were presented with the scope, we did saw excellent symmetry, as well as clearly defined hearts and arrows in our opinions.. But i am not an expert so I cannot scrutinised it as well as some of the forummers here.

Hi des, JP called me back and mentioned that sometimes on rare occasion they do have rocks which are flat counts which are priced well for them to take in? For the GIA description above, lets not look at the flat count for a moment. In your opinion is the rock consider ok?

Actually i am confident with the quality of JannPaul Super Ideal. All their Super Ideal have excellent HCA score, superior optical image, perfect Ideal scope & Aset scope image which will perform at peak levels with regard to brightness, scintillation and dispersion.

As suggested by Gorgeous, you can ask from JP for the Ideal scope & Aset scope Image for verification.

As for the flat count, you mentioned that if the price is good, they will bring the flat count diamonds on rare occasion basis. How do we know if the price is good? Do they give the good price to their customers as well?

They mentioned in their blog that each JP diamond had to possess the highest quality boundaries, in the world, period and the principle under "The Carat Size JP Style" is never touch flat counts. It seems like their compliance to certain criteria has been loosened.

when i go there at first i also see 3D and concern the final ring will not look nicee because the 3D look too nice..hehe~

at the end turn out better then i thought! so don't need worry bah~
what is your design can share share?

Haha.. ok, I hope mine will turn out fine.. I don't have the final design coz we made some last minute changes and don't have the 3D images of both bads together. But the concept is similar to the image JP posted on the mini cushion breilla collection. Will post pics once we see the final pdt end of Oct..

if you scared to out shine then choose classy design with side diamonds bah~

this one very pretty..with smaller diamonds near the big diamond..so wont outshine already~

the picture has very thin band. is it too sweet for woman with aged? i am nearing my 40s.

The Ideal and Aset scope is to looking out for bad light leakages in the diamond.. It can also use to detect painted or dugged girdles. Your Ideal and Aset diamond pictures looks good. The Hearts and arrows scope picture is to see the symmetry. As long as the hearts looks the same or identical, it's a good sign. JP does have very tight quality control with their diamonds. Haven't come across any problems with their diamonds before. Your scope pictures in fact looks very similar to nexer8

Thanks for all your previous contribution here and the wealth of information on proposal ring. After reviewing all the data here for months, i decided to bring my lady down today to jannpaul as a surprise, Kanna complain not romantic enough hahaha Anyway we walked into JP and was given a 2 hour lecture on diamonds by David, which we find informative and enlightening. For me Personally, i felt HCA formula makes sense (angle of cut = angular light reflection = grade of diamond). In addition, having the ability to see the sparkle of the rock, color distribution and cut from the scope put us at ease. Thus, We finally settled on a rock from JP

Superior Optical Symmety, Perfect H&A and excellent Ideal scope and Aset scope image.

I like the combination of D VS2 for a Super Ideal.....the whitest and brightest.
