WF only has AGS certs? Does it matter?

AGS certs are fine..

Ideal scope - Diamond seems to have light leakages at the center where the middle round part looks very light red.. it almost looks white.

Aset scope - It has severe bezel light leakges.. The star length is slightly to short.. this is why I think there a huge bezel light leakage.
I'm concerned about them changing the background to black color for some reason in all their Aset scope photos. Light leakages are suppose to be white color. With the black background, light leakages are now black color. In the Ideal scope, the almost white color/very light red area is now a very dark red area in the Aset scope. This can be very misleading if you don't know what to look out for. Because of the black background, the darker colors actually means less light return.

Hearts scope - 11 and 5 o'clock hearts are smaller.

Overall, I would rate this as a borderline Ideal diamond.

Slightly off topic...

After getting my super ideal from JannPaul 2 years ago... I finally went back for our wedding bands!

First consultation at JannPaul was inconclusive, and we continued to shop around Orchard Ion's jewellery lane for ideas.

After getting a better feel of what we both really wanted, I knew I must come back to JannPaul, cos only they can customize the design with what I really wanted - pink diamonds!

Fiancé's proposal ring was a tapered design, so not easy to match with wedding bands. Mine was tough as well: skinny long fingers but large knuckles, fair skin, and rather particular with my taste, and wanted to spam a few pink diamonds. Glad Amy was very helpful and patient!

Heh can't wait for the design to come out!

Could yoh share see how's your lady bands with pink diamonds and yours looks like? my fiancee end up giving up hers ideal wedding band which are rosegold and pink diamond. Because my tiny pale finger don't suit rose gold. And hard to match a pair. 92345011 sean

Went to JP today and was served by david and he was of great help! And of course my dear bought me the engagement ring...although it's funny but my dear wants me to have a ring which I like rather than he like..so ya..he brought me there n total damage is abt $ 3.5k..felt so heart pain for him..specs are 0.47 carats, E colour, VS1..reasonable? The sparkles made my dear agree with my choice to bring him to JP

Super ideal..haha..a little over his budget but he think it's worth it..so now we'll be waiting for the completion of ring..actually I think guys shld bring the wtb or gf to go..because if u are going to spend the money? Spend on something which your gf ot wtb really like..because even though my guy have gd taste but comes to some stuffs? Guys will not be able to read a ladies'mind :x

For a good price estimate of a 57-facet super ideal round brilliant at JP, I would recommend searching for diamonds on BlueNile for prices, based on a range of your desired specs, and using the Signature Ideal cut for comparison. Mark it up by, say, 10 to 20 percent (not sure how it is these days, and there may be hidden costs from BlueNile such as shipping or tax?), since JP sells much much better diamonds, on top of the consultation and service and after-sales services.

I'd also recommend you shop at Orchard Ion Jewelry Lane, or any of the well-known local retail stores for diamonds. Also check out Charlotte (Ehinger-Schwarz), and even Tiffany for a good sense of pricing.

As for quality of bling (how bright and shiny your diamond is, given the same Carat, Color, and Clarity), here is a rough personal feel of the ranking, in order from common to best:

Common diamond <<< Triple Excellent / Ideal < Bluenile Signature Ideal < Destinee / Hearts on Fire < Super Ideal

For the reputable online diamond vendors, here are the 4 that should be the most well known, plus one often recommended local private jeweller:

Based on the ASET image shown in the AGS certificate, the stone has painted girdle at 1, 11 o'clock & between 9&10 o'clock.
