Hi all,

Thank you to everyone that has posted in this thread. I gained good knowledge about choosing and buying my proposal ring.

I decided to propose 2 weeks ago and went straight for JP on the back of recommendations from friends and fellow forum users.

Made an appointment and was served by Sam last Friday. He walked me through the education part about selecting diamonds and buying a proposal ring. At the end of the 1st hr, I set about to choosing my diamond and my design that i already had in mind.

I chose a 0.64 cushion breilla diamond F VS1 with a setting of side diamonds and a fish claw prong ring. I think this setting will make the diamond "protrude" and look bigger hopefully :) I personalize it by adding the initial W into the tray of the ring. Am keeping my fingers crossed that it will turn out nice.

Very excited to see the 3d pictures.

Once again, thank you bros for sharing your experience on buying a proposal ring. Learnt the most in this thread.

Was suppose to collect my ring last week but couldn't make it due to last minute stuff :( Can't wait to see my ring :s12:

How long did it take for your ring to be ready since purchase.

I would like to share to all my happy and unhappy experience with JannPaul.

Had my eyes on the Solasfera diamond. So I booked an appointment and was serviced by Casey. His attitude was excellent while explaining everything to me and showed me both the Solasfera and Super Ideal Cut.
So, after everything, I was very impressed and so I made a deposit for the Solasfera diamond, while telling them that I would still like to keep my options open between the Solasfera and Super Ideal Cut.

Long story short, I chose the Super Ideal Cut diamond, but when I went to collect the ring, it was the Solasfera one. Was a bit shock, but well, the ring looks very pretty and since the Solasfera was my initial choice, I just close one eye and paid for it and left.

So, back home, I emailed them to express my concern over one of the diamond's characteristics while thanking them and their staff.
Casey replied almost instantly to my query.
And when I replied again that I was a little taken aback as the diamond was not the one I requested for, I jitao kena /ignore.
No reply, no noise.

I chose the Super Ideal Cut coz under room light, both sparkle the same. When under sunlight, then can really see the big diff. So since my fiancée-to-be seldom go under sunlight, I picked the Super Ideal Cut.

Was very happy with their customer service when purchasing the ring. The response was prompt and all.
But their after sales service makes me think twice about their reputation they deserve. :s11::s11:

Hmm.. They usually reply my emails fast.. Usually within the day and some even in minutes. Maybe you can try emailing them again?

First of all.
I highly doubt u r their customer maybe aome "u know who".
For my case, everything was stated on the receipt, every detail.. how can u choose a super ideal and get a solasfera without even knowing.. and btw.. solasfera is of a higher value, even more they would want to take the ring back for a swap..
Everything sounds weird to me..

Just my 5cents.
Im their so far very satisfied customer and have no gains from them.. nor am I related to them.

was reading the earlier comment and thought it was a good deal to pay for a super ideal and get a solasfera.

Well.. he said its a long story short so in between we dont know what happen.

Anyway, they operate in a shop and i think if any issues, you should speak to them in face.

Collecting mine this friday.. hope they free upgrade me as well.
from 0.73cat to 1 wholesome cat. I dont mind at all. haha

Find this hard to believe.

Solasfera is at least 10% more costly than their Super Ideal, for the same carat and size. They would be squeezing their margins by making that mistake. 2nd of all, the GIA cert would have been there for them to avoid making this mistake.

I haven't even heard of them making this mistake before as they are very careful to check for the serial number to prove that they set the right diamond.

my guess is he paid a deposit and was still deciding between the 2 diamonds.
After sometime, he decided he didn't want to pay extra for the solasfera and opted for the cheaper super ideal.

but when he went to collect the ring and to make full payment, he realised JP had set the solasfera instead.

That's my understanding of the case.
There probably was some miscommunication somewhere.... probably ukiya006 changed his mind too many times until Casey got confused? no idea....

Hi, I'm a very legit customer and Jann just called me earlier to clarify on the misunderstanding. I just wanted to find out what went wrong which might have led to this.
The deposit I put, was to "reserve" the Solasfera. They understood I needed to consider and confirm my options. So, the receipt states the full price for the Solasfera, but in case I opted for the Super Ideal Cut, they can amend the receipt to reflect the amount for it.
Oh, and I will upload some images of it in my next post. :)

As it was kinda misleading if u left out that important part of the story bro!
Makes an apple sound like a durian..
But no worries.. Solasfera is an awesome buy.. wouldnt go wrong with it.. I would have gotten that if it wasnt for me prefering big bold flashes :)
But yea.. I believe all the bros who bought from them wouldnt mind a free upgrade if the specs r good
Hahahha.

Are you able to settle and discuss the things with them? You have the full authority to return the item if needed. But I am sure, Solasfera is a really good one ;-)

If time is not a problem in parallel with your proposal and if you can allow them, you can still have a Super Ideal and if by luck the same diamond that you are considering before whilst it is not taken from that time to this moment.
