The HCA score is 0.9, just by looking at the score, it's actually a pretty good diamond. But of course, you need to look at the scopes to be more certain.

5.4k for a 0.6C VS1 E I personally think it's ok, since there is a jump in price after 0.5 carat.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll share once I've more information.

Hi guys,

Need some advice from the diamond experts here please.

I just bought a diamond which is 0.53 C, VVS2 , G for $4.5K. Haven't done the setting yet.

Was that a reasonable price to pay?

Was quoted another for 0.54 C, VVS1 E at $5.1 which I did not get.

I’d like to thank all the bros and gals here for the wealth of information and the help given to me. This is my contribution back for you guys :) Hope this can help the other bros in future

Prior to going down, I already made up my mind on the Brellia diamond but still i requested to see all their signature diamonds before confirming.

After couple of hours patiently explaining and answering my questions, I have gotten my Brellia diamond from Casey of JANNPAUL

Background
I bought my first diamond ring 3 years ago (not from JP) when I was still new into this and didn’t do much research back then. It was only after I hastily bought, then I went to research more. I’m one of those impulse buyers that sales people love to meet. So this is my upgrade diamond after doing homework.

Since my first is already the round diamond I am looking for something more special this time. I was given an education and showed all the different cuts. Their education is very very different from what I experienced from other places.

These were the diamonds presented to me during the education. I was aiming for a 0.8ct which is a double up from my previous 0.4ct.

During the start, I have already done my due diligence of reading up so the education I went through was easier to absorb.

Without Further A-do, I present to you the diamonds I was shown!

Going back and forth I asked many many questions, which now that I think back I quite pai-seh lol. At all times they were clearly explained to me…

The photos doesn’t really show how sparkly the diamond actually looks. You need to see them face to face to really appreciate it.

All the diamonds i saw of their signature cut, were all sparkly unlike any others I have seen elsewhere.

Was shown the diamonds to me again in different lights and also outdoors. I forgot to take the outdoor photos. I was abit nervous when they were showing me all the diamonds outside. lol

These are diamonds on the palette when we move around different places

With my mind already set on Brellia, I went on with choosing of design.
Wife did say before she like side diamonds and many of them, she also show me similar design before.... so I chose this...

mine has the pt950 engraved on it too! it makes the space for engraving a little more restricted... but i love platinum so i don't mind having the chemical symbol there too! :s12::zotto:

Can totally agree. I spoke to Jerome 24/5 ordered the ring 30/5 took delivery of the ring, as promised 25/6. 4 week turnaround was tight but they delivered!

The craftsmanship is brilliant and wife is extremely happy with her new ring. I would post pics but unfortunately cannot post links to images and I havent bothered to take any :)

Lucky you. I had a less pleasing experience with JP regarding their crafting though. Mine is an octagon halo and i waited 8 weeks for the ring to be crafted. When my fiance collected the ring, one of the edges was not straight and we were told to bring the ring back for recrafting after proposal. The recrafting took 5 weeks and the halo setting is still not perfect. We were told that we can get them to recraft again, but seriously, to wait another 4-5 more weeks?! Very upset as i only get to wear my ring for less than a week.
