Got GIA 6205401426 this morning, E, VVS2, 0.45 ct, from JP. HCA score 0.7 for $3300 without setting. Was the price reasonable?

edit:
comparing with bluenile, it seems a tad overprice (something around that range is closer to just 3k. i suppose the jeweler needs to make money. but is this normal?

Bluenile diamonds ain't Super ideal cut.

Received my diamond's scope images :s12:
I realised the hearts and arrows scope image they sent is in red color. In the shop when using the scope, I remember it was blue color. It doesn't matter what color it is right? Just need to make sure its symmetrical?

When you collect your ring, they will give you a free hearts and arrows scope. Inside the scope, it has a blue reflective paper which is what gives it the color.

Yah, it just needs to be symmetrical. But for other Ideal and ASET scope, the color is important. Each color means something.

Blue Nile Signatures are not really super ideal though, you can share the scopes here to confirm.

JP's higher cost is due to the Super ideal cut.

Hi Guys,

Is the colour G considered inferior? Seems to be on the lower end for Jann Paul ring.

Was quoted $3k for 0.42ct, VVS1, G including basic setting. Is it a good deal?

Thanks

Just gotten my diamond, 0.8carat E colour and triple excellent. Isit true that the diamond will only show fiery sparkle under those Led lights? If under those white lights the diamond won't sparkle it will just remain white and bright?

G is okay, but still can tell a bit of diff when placed beside Colour D to F. By itself, it will still look colourless.

By the way, a F colour, VS 1/2 should cost around the same.
