Yeah I agreed that JP have tight quality control when they select their diamonds. So what does this mean?

LOL! Please everyone, please stop posting JP's scope photos accompanied with doubtful questions on the diamonds. So far, all the results and comments are all almost the same. Most importantly, do your own research and believe in your own judgement. If you like your choice of diamond, no one will be able to tell you otherwise, just like your wife-to-be.

Anyway, it will defintely more interesting to analyse scope photos provided by other jewellers (if there is any). HAHA

All the scope pictures looks good. The hearts and arrows looks very symmetrical and it doesn't have those light leakages that you want to avoid... One very good thing I find about JP is that they have very tight quality control on their diamonds.. So far I haven't seen any problems with their diamonds before.

One slight thing is that in the Actual diamond image, can tell the picture wasn't taken properly. The diamond is abit slanted to one side... but on the ASET and Ideal Scope, it looks fine. So there's no issue there..

btw does jannpaul have like sale n those discount thingy?
Went for my appt today during lunch hours and spend a good 1.5hrs there with Casey. Quite impressed with their comparison and patience. I was recommended a few 0.4x E VVS2 carats by Casey due to my budget but in the end I went for a 0.51c F VS2 super ideal round in the end though I spotted a pretty obvious inclusion on one of the arrows. Guess I have to compromise on clarity given my budget. Hope to see the images soon.

They don't have sales but they give a 2% discount if you pay by cash. Otherwise can go with 0% instalments or use the manhatten card for 5% cashback.

Damage: $4,050 including settings

Personally, I will want avoid x.x0 & x.x1 carat size. Preferred to go for x.x2 and above.

I went for the classic setting $550 as she prefers something simple. 1k for settings? What kind of custom design you ask for? I don't think they will charge 1k unless its a complex design. I went with 4 prongs but thinking if I should change to 6 to be more secure.

Vision, any reason for avoiding x.x1 carats? I asked for the 0.52c F VS2 but did not go with that cos I saw a feather like inclusion on the diamond. Price difference was only $80.

Agree its expensive for the diamond specs.
But then again, its got the little blue box.

I was actually aiming for the heart shape cut. But 33K for a 1.03 carat :s31:

And talking about the little blue box, I was a little disappointed actually. The ring holder case is actually all black. The whole thing is then put into a blue box and tied up with a white ribbon :s13:

Casey jus inform me without diamond is $700. With diamond is abt $1k+. It's jus a simple setting but need to custom made cos need to set a new mold.

Tiffany diamond have a better range compare to other shop. I went there before n see it with my own eye. Even I Color r so beautiful. N not forgetting they use platinum for the ring setting.

I ask my sis to do a HCA test on her Tiffany diamond n got a score of 0.7. It's jus that u r not able to know more thru scope but they only choose the best diamond according to a frd who is GIA certified.
