I have a brand new GIA certified diamond (stone only), 1.0ct, F, VS1, EX-EX-EX, Florescence Nil for sale. It has never been mounted on a ring.

Looking to let this go around SGD10k.

Please PM me or SMS me at 9777 2839 if interested. Thanks.

Hi All,

I've been wanting to post the scope images, etc of the Brellia we selected on 14/06 but have been very busy at work.

Anyways, we selected our diamond on 14/06. It was a Brellia, 0.432 carat VVS1 D colour and we were quoted 3.2k inclusive of setting.

We decided to customize our ring setting and sent sample images to JP for their designers to work on.

We received the scope images around 2 weeks after the selection and 3D renderings of the ring design a week after. We sent more sample images to JP and they obliged saying this will take an additional 1-2 weeks. A week later, we got the 3D renderings.

I must say JP has been very efficient. Anyways here are the scope images as well the design we finally settled on.

Just checked citibank website FAQs and this is the answer.

Do I still earn rewards points or rebates if I pay through EPP?
Unfortunately, no. Due to the cost incurred in stretching your repayment period, we are unable to provide further rewards or rebates to you.

So you still getting reward points for the installment plan?

Sorry, correction. Only some cards can still earn points through EPP. Like Standard Chartered or UOB one.

This thread shld be titled JP, and all other brands should be shoot down.
There are other diamond wholesaler that is more affordable than JP and does not need internet referral or advertisement.

I must say that the scope images does help a lot of buyer to choose JP. Too bad our eyes are not made of scope to enjoy hearts n arrow

Why do you sound so bitter? These are all reviews from people who eventually settled for JP. We are normal consumers sharing what we have chosen after doing research, etc. It also goes to show JP seems to be doing something right. It certainly does not mean you cant get your diamonds from elsewhere and I definitely have not seen a post here that states "Dont buy from anywhere else other than JP".

Do you work for Vivodiamonds? You sure sound like you do.

To be fair, anyone is welcome here to talk about other retailers and diamond cuts.

I, for one, would love to hear more about the Gabrielle cut (which enjoyed a bit of publicity back at the original thread), as well as the brilliant rose and Rosella.

Vivo Diamonds enjoyed a bit of positive exposure here before they self-destructed and imploded from slander and fake posts.

Many of my own posts mentioned local retailers plus the usual online stores (GoG, WhiteFlash, JamesAllen, BlueNile).

You don't hear much about local retailers here, simply because 1) their customers will just buy and case closed 2) they simply do not offer as much information or pictures or content for people to talk about online.

For Diamond discussions and thousands of threads that will never talk about JannPaul, there is always Pricescope :)

On a side note, I walked past this new outlet of Michael Trio along Tanjong Pagar Rd after work.. just a few doors away from Vivo Diamonds. Haha.. went in and took a quick look, then left soon after.

They carry more of round triple ex diamonds though, and have the H&A scope to view the diamonds.. price wise, not sure how it compares to JP, cuz I got a Brellia. But if I remember correctly, a round 0.62 F VVS2 was going at around $5.8k without setting.

Disclaimer: Not affiliated to any of the retailers mentioned above!

It's more of a diamond comparison rather than a brand comparison. People here compare diamonds to check if they are good or not.. scope photos etc.. Why JP is so popular here is probably because they have a "full disclosure" on their diamonds with all the different scopes.

Consumers now are much smarter than before thanks to the internet and the wealth of information. Everyone wants to make a smart choice and get the best bang of their buck in terms of quality and value. I think its only by comparison with other vendors where people end up choosing a diamond in JP. Anyone with a right sense of mind will always make comparison when you're spending so much. I myself went to many stores before making a commitment. Just like when you buy a car, you will test drive a few different car brands first right? Same thing. It is after comparison, most people chose JP for their value and quality. Not necessarily their brand although its probably associated with their quality. lol.

not sure if many people visited Michael Trio before, i only got to know about them cuz my friend knows the son (of the boss) and briefly mentioned the name of the shop to me.

but in the end, i didn't check them out prior to buying the Brellia from JP... cuz my gf got smitten by it. :s13:

Confirmed the design with JP after seeing the plastic ring model :)

I see some bros checking on diamond specs and ring designs here…but no one shared about this from jp yet… thought I share my experience here.
I was doing small talk with Jann and he mentioned that their wax machine was just at their upstairs office. The kpo-ness in me asked if I can take a look at it =:p He let me take some pics and videos for part of my proposal plan.

This is how the machine looks like.

EvBCB2k.jpg

It starts of with a green plastic block and cuts out the generic shape and hole of the ring. The rest of the details gets cut layer by layer

XZpgYgu.jpg

Didn’t have the time to sit through the whole session…it takes 4 hours!!
Some preview of the wax machine.. looking at how the ring takes shape excites the engineer in me..

EFFWURH.jpg

Came back on another day to see the completed ring model… indeed keeping the band light on the sides brings out the brellia. Just placing the brellia on top of the ring model and I can feel its bigger already

Here's some videos of the machine in process. Sorry it's abit messy. Haven't got time to organize the video properly.

All in all, very glad I found this thread, thanks to the bros that helped and those that pm-ed me.

Wah.. didn't know they had a office upstairs! If I know.. I also go and ask to see see.. Post up your ring when it is ready le..

It's under Tian Po. It's the same as Destinee. But too bad they don't have all the scopes to verify.

Suggest you spend some time to check out the retail jewelers on their offerings. Plus you can check out the diff variations of ring setting.
