Not sure what to do

I am a total noob at proposal rings but have been slowly looking through this thread.

I just got a Lee Hwa Destinee 0.3 caret, Color G, VVS2, Ideal cut.

Got it for 2.5k.

Is it a reasonable buy or did I get ripped off?

I am also getting cold feet and wondering if I should trade it in for a bigger one , for 0.42 caret destinee at about 5k (which is about as high as I want to go, because my girlfriend told me don't spend so much).

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Do you have the diamond GIA/ AGS number? Would like to see the destinee scopes

Went to reserve a brellia 0.68 E VS1 for 6.9k.. is that a fair price?? Haha it is very shiny though..and interesting!

sorry im fairly new to this but i think should be reasonable? in a way i was quoted 5150 for a 0.573 brellia E VS1 for the jump to a .6x should be ok?!

please correct me if i am wrong hahaha

If your wife likes the Asscher, she will lovee the Ocatvia In all honesty, you should see the diamond live if you have the chance. It looks way better than the pictures. When I was there, they haven't officially launched the diamond yet.. there was only 4 to choose from. They might have more now.
You can email and ask them for advise. I'm sure they can help take videos of the diamond for you since you're overseas.

Anyone been to CJ Diamonds before?

Seems like quite a popular place with many customers.

What does everyone think of paying a premium for a super ideal cut and good clarity? Seems like much more value if get an ideal cut, VS2 clarity, and D/E, and a bigger carat 0.5. Would a girl prefer it compared to a smaller carat 0.3+, vs1, d, super ideal cut?

went diamond hunting outside, now GSS, outside diamonds retails shops offering quite a good discount, and some of their diamonds really not bad with good specs, prices may be cheaper than some bros who mentioned their price here. For example, saw a few around the rage of 0.8 carat, F colour VS2 and triple excellent cut around 6k sgd. Wonder if it is a good buy

Hmm.. its more for the branding I suppose.. If you trade in your Lee Hwa Detiness 0.3ct for a 0.4ct, you need to top up 2.5k. For the same amount, I think you can get a new Super Ideal Cut 0.4ct already. Plus you still get to keep your old diamond.

Triple ex might sound great, but is actually not the highest tier for diamonds. The 4Cs touches mainly on diamond quality, not cut quality, which affects the 'shininess' of the diamond .

At first when I brought my gf to look around, I noticed she likes all the diamond in shops that have the orangey lights. Then we realised that lousy cut diamonds can still look good in stores because of the lights.

Tbh when I first went into Jannpaul I also didn't like it. The diamond seem so yucks. But colleague intro and I tried going again. Really diff. I think sometimes its due to the lack or lightning and they don't always showcase the best diamonds. For safety reasons of coz
