i see. the ones i went to see (not all retailers) were really shiny. To be honest, i brought my gf down to JP before for a discussion with their staffs there, no offense to anyone as its her personal preference, she didnt like their diamond at all.

ohh. dont have eh, was just looking looking.

Maybe because she cant visualize the brightness of the diamond being set on the ring, I am also not very captivated by just the loose diamonds and I too agree that those at retailers are super shiny cause of the lightings that they used.

I have once bought a solitaire from meyson and it's super bling and shiny in the shop but once I leave the shop, the truth unfolds HAHAHAHAHA.

hmm, actually alot of my friends around me got their rings with JP, so she can compare. Her sister got her ring from a retail shops outside and hers is still shiny after 2 years. Anyway, i've already selected what i want, according to what she wants. so no turning back and no regrets. hahaha :s12::s12:

retailers also can get good diamonds. you might just be paying a little more. A diamond can be shiny even without hearts and arrows, it like messy-shiny vs organised-shiny imo. :s13:

Those are twist type settings. It's nice. That time Jerome recommended me to go for the 2 band twist rather than the single band twist if my gf planned to wear her wedding band together. The single band twist will be harder wear with the band becos one side will have a big gap. The 2 band twist will match better with the band. If she don't intend to wear her band on the same finger, then both design is fine

Tension set engagement ring. The JP sales person advised me not to get this style though.

Don't think is tension setting le.. From my understanding, tension is when the ring is not full. The diamond is only held on by 2 sides. Pantang ppl like me won't like it.. becos its like a "break" in the ring.. no continuity :s13:
