Those are twist type settings. It's nice. That time Jerome recommended me to go for the 2 band twist rather than the single band twist if my gf planned to wear her wedding band together. The single band twist will be harder wear with the band becos one side will have a big gap. The 2 band twist will match better with the band. If she don't intend to wear her band on the same finger, then both design is fine

Don't think is tension setting le.. From my understanding, tension is when the ring is not full. The diamond is only held on by 2 sides. Pantang ppl like me won't like it.. becos its like a "break" in the ring.. no continuity

Ah, the second one looks likes tension . the first looks like a more sophisicated solatire ring

hi, just to share my engagement ring journey.

Initially was clueless about engagement rings, then I went to JP first (as recommended by many ppl here for the 'diamond education') and followed by Soo Kee, Gold Heart etc.

I ended up getting the engagement ring from JP. Reason is because of their price, non-pushy sales and polite service, their standard of service is consistent throughout and u can get 'sense of security' that the diamond is a good one. I was served by Casey, he is always very patient and friendly, willing to provide you guidance on diamond selection and ring selection, he's rather fast in replies to emails too.

For people looking for diamond ring, u can always start off by reading up on the 5Cs (need not be in depth), then go to the respective shops to see which diamond your other half would like, taking note of the budget u are willing to spend.

One thing i can say about JP is you will be assured by them that your diamond is a good one with the scope images provided to u through email, JP is also able to show u the diamond under various lighting conditions, including outdoors (This was the main reason i got from JP, because i know the diamond is being cut nicely and there are no terrible light leakages). This is not something other jewellery stores may want to provide, the most they can is to let u see through a hearts and arrow scope but u probably cant tell much by looking at it (cos we are all noobs, we dont always buy diamonds). Another unique thing is the customisation of the ring.

That's all for the review. Final comment is, just go with the diamond and brand that you think your other half will like, if you/your other half is very brand conscious, suggest u go get from Tiffany or other prominent brands....confirm wont go wrong cos of the strong branding...but gota pay more, happy searching

Hmm.. its more for the branding I suppose.. If you trade in your Lee Hwa Detiness 0.3ct for a 0.4ct, you need to top up 2.5k. For the same amount, I think you can get a new Super Ideal Cut 0.4ct already. Plus you still get to keep your old diamond.

I guess everyone here thinks Destinee isn't worth it?

Still I wonder if even for a destinee 0.3 caret , I got ripped off. The salesperson seemed very eager to get that one sold off, even saying no point going for a 0.4.

Mine should be at the stage where the diamond has been digged out from the soil already.
