went back to jann paul again today..
changed to a Super Ideal 0.72 carat for approx $6.9k w/o setting, VS2 and G. Worth it still? The price feels to be on the high side

I remember seeing somewhere in this thread, someone purchased a 0.73 F VS1 with custom settings at 7900.

I have bought this diamond. Can the bro here advise if it is good?

HCA score is 1.0

Proportions and HCA score is good. Did you check it with the scopes?

The diamond is already preset on the ring. So the scope can only see the arrows which are quite symmetrical.

My concern is the strong blue fluorescence. Not sure if it will impact the clarity. At the shop I can't really see any haziness.

Thanks for your opinion..it feels as though it's abit on the high side. Not sure if it was a good decision now haha

these are the scopes as received

For a Super ideal cut, that price is around there.. The cut quality of the diamond will affect the price. Don't worry, you can't go wrong with a better quality diamond :)

Btw, I can't see your pics

Does it matter if the feather are near the girdle? And the cloud that appears on the diamond.

Yes it matters. if it were to be hit on smth hard the diamond may chip off. if the feather is inside the diamond its fine, just not at the girdle.

Anyone been to Love & co? They seems to be pushing for IGI certification. understand from Uncle Google that IGI can be less stringent than GIA/AGS. Any opinions?

Is it true that getting a 0.37 or 0.47, the size perceived (other than influenced by the cutting and supporting prongs design) could be round up to 0.4 and 0.5 respectively? Not that trying to save money but i think our eyes cannot pick up the differences unless there is something to compare with.

Does JP do engagement rings + wedding bands? Or is it better to get wedding bands somewhere else? Poh Heng cherish bands looks clean and simple.

Anyone customised the tifanny design of a ring with JP before?

One short so many questions, hope its OK. =:p

Yah, IGI is not as good as GIA/AGS. Their standard is not as stringent.
0.37 and 0.47 can see the difference... but if 0.37 and 0.40, I doubt it will be obvious at all..

JP has wedding bands too. Went back to them for my bands. They got do custom ring designs.. I guess they can make anything you want.. If you cutomize, you might as well do something more special and different :o

Yup they can do customizing of any design. I did smth like the Tiffany crown setting but I wanted it even higher than Tiffany's. JP will send u a 3d tender that looks like what the ring will look like. You can make the setting a tapered design (have it narrower near the diamond) so the diamond will look bigger. I think anything smaller than 0.5 carat suits 4 prongs better.
They do wedding bands as well, any design (even that of branded designs like Cartier or bvlgari), but of course they can't engrave the brand name etc.

Actually all of them good performance. It boils down to which cut you like.
I got a Brellia cos my SO loves the shape, she set her eyes on Brellia from the very start :s13: What specs are you looking at?

Hi all any advice?

Solasfera 0.31 F VVS2
Super Ideal 0.333 E VS2

Honestly I think its just down to personal preference now. the carat, colour and clarity are all not too huge a diff.

I am leaning more towards the Solasfera though. Any one who got the Solasfera? How is it?

Yes it's personl preference, solesfera's sparkles are smaller, I feel it's abit more glittery. Super ideal looks more diamond-ish to me lol the sparkles are more solid.

Hey everyone. I went down to JP once and its a very good experience. Been looking for a diamond ring and so far, i would say JP do have the best diamonds around. And with all the good reviews here i am now ready to commit to them. Haha.

Anyway, i would like to know if i should just buy the diamond ring without asking them for the scopes picture? Is it a wise decision? What do you guys think?

Don't worry, they will provide you with the scope images for the diamond you are interested in or the one you purchased. Whats more impt is that you've seen the diamond under the scopes urself!

We are looking at either 0.8ct or 1ct. Have yet to make another trip down to solidify our decision. Too busy recently. :s13:
