I would say go down and take a look. The first decagon I waitlisted for was a G VVS1 and it was definitely below expectations. The G was quite cloudy/milky under normal lighting. Colour G is a range, it can be closer to F or H. I rejected that diamond and re-waitlist for a better diamond but this time I specified a better colour grade.

My second diamond is an E VS1 and it's so much better! Definitely don't regret rejecting the first

Thanks for sharing. How long did u waited for your second diamond? I'm glad u got what u want.

Before I preorder I'm also not happy with the range given F-G and ask if there's a higher range but wasn't accepted.

We were quite lucky! We waited 1 month for the first diamond and when we re-waitlist, our waiting time was 1 month as well. I've read that others waited much longer for their diamonds in this forum.

We placed our preorder for the 0.71-0.72, F-G and VVS1-VVS2 range for the first one. The second time we placed it for 0.71-0.72, D-E, VVS2-VS2 range.

If they don't have a higher color grade for your carat size, maybe you can consider letting them know you're only interested in F? But you should head down to see the diamond first! Like some said, white series G can still be very bright :)

My decagon is finally in sg

0.547 G IF

4600. What do you guys think? I was a tiny bit disappointed the color is G but then white series is so bright G is as white as E/F.

The 0.7 decagon prototype at JP is a color G, when compared to a SIC color E, i would never think the decagon is a G, it is very much brighter and whiter.

I went to JP and it seems that the SIC diamonds that i am looking at, i am unable to see the distinct arrow design from the top (the contrast). Is it common or varies from diamond to diamond.

Congrats! Is that your diamond?
The table is ok. Bigger table will make the diamond look bigger too. Though it still ultimately depends on the scope images and what it shows. The usual proportions for the 57 facets wont apply to these modified cuts. They are meant to have a different set of ideal proportions.

Just doing a bit more research again...has anyone seen a JP SIC or White Series round diamond with 58% table?

Was wondering how this relatively large table would affect the brilliance and fire of the diamond? In theory I've read that it's not as good? But how about in reality?

The arrow contrast is meant to be seen under diffused lights and not shop lights. Shop lights are too strong and glaring. It makes the diamond sparkle too much to see the arrows properly.

The white series has their own proprietary specific angles, even if its 58% it may relate differently to the normal rounds. That includes other angles like the crown, pavilion, depth, lower halves and stars (its even reshaped), etc. These modified cuts don't follow the typical rules especially if they apply the virtual
+ ASET to their guidelines.

They got explain it in their technical vid

Do you mean wearing a yellow gold ring and a white gold ring together on a finger? I think its ok as long as the design of the ring doesnt keep knocking and scratch each other.

Yes almost 3 months, orders on 22/Jul

Custom cut right? Their rough requirements is extremely strict; no durability issues, no off hue(brownish milky colours) must be ethically sourced, only one cutter can pull it off.
