what size is this? looks big.

It's 0.5ct only :)
I requested them to make the band abit thinner with the thick to thin effect. It creates the effect that the diamond is bigger :s13:

i realised my wedding band stacked with proposal ring makes the diamond look smaller. Another consideration for u.

How come the wedding band stacked will make the diamond look smaller? Is it because the 2 bands will look very thick together?

Yea, my wedding band is half eternity and the melee diamonds are bigger in size than the melee diamonds in the proposal ring. So it made the proposal diamond looked smaller.

Actually 0.5 to 0.6 is a decent size. Opt for ideal instead of super ideal, G colour, VS 1 or 2, might be able to bump up to 0.7+ carat for the price you are paying. Else just do halo setting.

>$10k can be a bit too much to spend on proposal ring especially young couples, with bto, reno and wedding.

Has anyone tried white dwarf? I just made an appointment with them. The reviews here seem like they've created users to gain awareness. But quality wise has not been discuss much..

Actually do u all wear the engagement ring daily? I am thinking to buy another diamond ring or wear only wedding band after marriage.

Based on friends comment, engagement ring is only special occasion then wear. Normally is wear wedding band because plain and don't need worry of scratching your expensive bag/clothes or even your baby.

check out other jeweler, for the same budget might be able to get a bigger carat.

u can check out this: Yuen Tung (Wah Kee)

went with my friend to check it out, in the end i went for canary.
apparently for the same $$, yuen tung offers a bigger carats with the other 3Cs about the same to my friend.

hope this helps.

Got my 3d design. Opted for a classic setting without side diamonds. What do you guys think?

Scrolled back and saw your post. One of my friend did a similar design like yours with them but in a different type of twirl. He did the twirl in rose gold to make it stand out more. That's one option you can consider too.

Yup, I wear mine almost everyday even when I go exercising :D Most of the time I wear it together with my wedding band or I wear both rings on different hands. I'm very happy with my diamond ring and it's almost a part of me now!

Jp has the best quality diamonds, period. I've been to almost every private jeweller, i think the slight few % investment is all worth when it comes to expensive things

This is mine. Their custom designs comes with the 3d render. I requested for them to render mine in higher resolution and black background for my final version. It takes a longer time but worth the wait =)

Nice! Did your wedding band fit well together with your e-ring? I was told that twist designs will be hard to match with a wedding band if worn together. Unless you customise the wedding band to follow the twist as the e-ring. Can't wait to get my design.. expecting it this week :s12:

Is the octagon diamond common? Cant find much information on it.

Go to their youtube or blog. You can find more info there. For design, see their FB.

FYI, this is the octagon on the mrt and bus. haha

Like Sessygurl143 said, you can get all the info on their sites. Nothing beats seeing it with your own eyes. They will give a diamond education to you (with their super ideal cuts) which will take about 90 mins. After that they will give you more advance education (about 30 mins) on those special cuts like the octagon if you're interested in them. This excludes the time they will teach on the different ring designs too. All in all, I spent 3 hrs in one sitting with them. And then another hour on my 2nd appt to confirm my diamond.
