For those who did their customization, did you all had a rough idea in mind what you wanted and told JannPaul? Couldn't find anything to my liking with their setting and no idea in mind at all. Been browsing online for ideas but yet to find one that caught my attention.

Their setting at the shop are ok only. Check out their fb for more ideas. Ranjit shown me a few at the shop and we end up picking up similar style all the time. Even after he mixed. Haha. I went with twisted band and went home to think hard how I want it

I think this is very personal? Some people are more attracted to certain design. For example my girl like 6 prong because it resemble snow flake to her, while some like 4 prong more.

Received my revised design from JP :)

I'm in a dilemma now... Can't decide which one to choose. I like both 50/50. From the top, the ring designs will look identical. The difference is from the side view only.

Hmmm.. which one would you guys choose?

My review is long overdue, i found out my brother was paul's(jp paul) classmate in sec sch. Tried to get in touch with him but he was overseas and i was served by casey? cassie? It was a guy. Had a 2hr+ session and it was extremely informative, i've never had such service from a retail line before. Not to mention their diamonds are all tip top to boot. GoT is coming soon and my wife to be is a huge huge fan of daenarys, so i wanted to do someting game of thrones for her. She dont really like wearing rings as well so i decided on earring or pendant, cassie recommended a pendant for the size i was getting

Long story short, i had a deposit quite some time back for a 1.40 F VS1. If anyone wants the dmg you can pm here just in case my SO reads this thread too.

cassie also gave me paul's FB ctc, and he's been helping me with the design, he said he is almost done, so i'm really excited to see it. I was told he designed the star wars ring some time back so i'm excited to see what GoT pendant they can come up with. really hope it's good..

I will post again once i get it

You can try the poh heng at Chinatown, they got plenty of gold rings around. Feel that their worksmanship isn't that bad as compared to a few other chain retails. If not if you ever go to HK, can try their major retail there, got a couple of friend that bought their 4 dian jing there and said it was cheaper then Singapore.

so.... I have been a reader for this thread for quite some time now, I should say I have read at least 25% of the content (considering the length of this thread and its predecessors :s13:). Anyway today I just made my purchase with JP for an octagon diamond to be used as a proposal ring for my girlfriend. I created another HWZ account for this post just in case my girlfriend is reading this too, as she will most probably recognise my user ID hahahaha!

The stats of my diamond is as follows:
0.644c F VS2 Octagon

Pictures of scopes (any kind soul please help to render the pictures for this forum? :D)

h ttp://i68.tinypic.com/33oty8h.jpg
h ttp://i66.tinypic.com/14ptfk.jpg

Just wondering if anyone has any opinion on this? Any red flags that you have noticed? Comments are always welcome!

Also, my girlfriend and I are actually quite fond of the 6 prong setting. However I was told today that the 6 prong setting would not be ideal for the octagon as the shape may not be distinctive enough. Quite a pity because I love the uniqueness of this cut too! My JP contact is currently in the process of having the 3D done up for a 6 prong setting for the Octagon, but I was just wondering has anyone here tried to approach such a setting? Will be good to hear your experiences! If the 6 prong does not work well, I might then be caught in a dilemma between an octagon on a 4 prong setting, or switching to a SI or Solesfera on the 6 prong :( Pity though since I have taken a liking to the diamond I selected!

These apart, the service at JP was really top notch! Will leave this review to a later time after the proposal so I don't accidentally reveal details that may let the cat out of the bag ;)

Thanks in advance for advising on this!
