I find it too small. I wanna upgrade it to a bigger carat or either a octagon or solasfera. The diamond is a good diamond. The people at Jannpaul also said it's big enough but I don't think it is. That's why I wanna change it.

Hey guys,

I'm looking for someone to take over my ring so that I can repurchase another proposal ring. Jannpaul give you 100% of what you paid for the diamond but not for the setting! =( And there's a 7% gst to pay to them as well.

So if there is anyone who is willing to purchase mine, please let me know! It's new! I have not even propose!!

Diamond type: Super Ideal Cut
0.94 E VS2

Below are the specifications:

60.1% Depth
58% Table
33.5° Crown Angle
40.8° Pavillion Angle

This is actually a good piece, 0.9x is a good buy considering that it's significantly cheaper than 1 but look as big as 1.

But like meshpenstand mentioned, it's probably more worth it for you to trade in with JP unless u want to get from somewhere else.

The best proportions for princess is the table 62-68% and depth 64-75%.

Yours have a table 75% which is quite far off the ideal range.

If I'm not wrong, princess cuts price is around the same as those pears, heart shapes, etc.
bb_100 got his heart shape 0.74 E IF for $4.1k from JP. I feel $3.8k for yours is on the high side. You mind sharing where you saw it?

In my opinion, all their Octagons have superb light performance. It is just a matter of selecting the right size, clarity and colour that suit your budget.

I'm a supporter for the Octagon. If you like the shape and they have the specs you want, just go for it. Back then they their Octagon selection was quite limited so I had to wait for one in my requirement to come in.

The arrow patternings are very clear and sharp. Its like a firey meteor rock We had friends and strangers commenting on it. Sometimes, I think I like the diamond more than my fiancée. haha

This is mine, not sure how big is yours, mine is a 0.5ct.

Heres my final diamond they render it. Its the diamond i bought pic shows my gf hand got it from her instagram account and they put the ring on the pic hehehhe!!!!

0.41 vs1 f (super ideal cut) with classic solitaire cathedral setting

Objectively, it's not a good diamond at alp, very poor cut proportions. Whether it is worth it for the price he paid is a different matter. Can't advise on that because I don't really have any reference points to compare against for diamonds of the same quality.

I agree with @mero_cwj. The HCA score for this diamond is only 4.5:

Light Return Good
Fire Good
Scintillation Good
Spread or diameter for weight Very Good
Total Visual Performance 4.5 - Good - Only if price is your main criterion

No problem bro. I am no diamond expert but because of this huge investment in buying a proposal ring, I researched on diamonds for more than half a year liao haha. So I am only sharing the fruits of my research.

Just curious bro. Is the "small local jeweller" Artisan Jewellery? Why didn't you consider JannPaul?

what do you guys think of lab simulated diamonds? it is 30-40% cheaper than real diamonds. a 1 carat, D, VVS with ideal/super ideal can go as low as 6-7k... my friend has bought 1, its clear and bright, i'm no expert, so i can't tell the difference that it's a lab diamond until my friend told us. no1 is gonna walk ard with their certificates right? and, even lab diamonds are certified now btw...
