Went to JP yesterday.

I would say the entire experience was different with other shops. Joy is attentive and not pushy when come to sales. She explained everything in order for almost about 2 hours and let us experience ourselves under the scope or even outside the shop just to see the differences.

Ended up I had selected - 0.6carat D VS2. HCA score was 1.0.

Plus setting total up would be 5.9k and it takes two months for it to be delivered.

Overall me and my gf is happy with it.

Thanks for those sharing about JP and JA in this forum. If I never browse on this forum, I would ended up either with Meyson, Poh Heng or Lov3 and Co.

My Friend bought almost the same carat but with F Color. Plus setting already close to 10k le.

Yup believe it should be around 10-11k

Fuuuu the ASET image looks stunning. Very minimal light leakage. Arrows are perfectly aligned. Hearts are all very well-shaped.

Can't ask for anything better than this.

Double confirm plus double chop this is JP's Super Ideal diamond.

And $10k plus setting, this is an absolute bang for your buck.

Love and Co. and co all selling for the branding only la. Wise choice not to go for their diamonds.

I had my heart set on Octagon cut but not many stock were left.

I got quoted the following for SIC:

1.10 F VS2
$16,100

1.04 F VS1
$16,200

Any thoughts? noob here...

No one is advertising for them..

As usual, please attach scope photos for experts to have a better look.

But coming from JP. I'll say that is about right.

So far, no one in the forum who went to JP and came back with a unreasonable price. So, they are more of less reliable.... and standard.

How come 1.04 more ex than 1.10 one?

Just saw the clarity difference. If the VS2 is as eye-clean as the VS1, I would advise you to go for the 1.10 option cuz it is cheaper too!

Here are a few prices quoted from JA, before any taxes:

1.04 F VS1 HCA 2.4 = $15,309
1.04 F VS2 HCA 1.8 = $12,528

1.10 F VS2 HCA 3.7 = $13,842
1.10 F VS1 HCA 3.7 = $15,553

If you factor in the HCA score, GST, and a premium that JP charge for their Super Ideal diamonds, I would say JP's price is really very reasonable.
