I think you’ve got major self esteem issue. U don’t call someone loser just because she would like 3x salary ring, it’s not like guys has got no preferences in other aspect of a women.

Willing parties will do. I’m more than willing to spend 3-6 months of salary for a ring or whatever if I like it, if you don’t, that’s your own choice, don’t go around judging women like a sore loser

Eh, I just wanna say you don't really know if all the white stones you see in public are real ones or Orro mah.

I do agree that American women have more "fluid" ideas of engagement ring across budgets - things on Etsy like CZ, morganite, included diamonds while SG ladies are more or less 'white diamond only'. But it could be that we don't have enough reputable suppliers to order these alternatives from.

I think Singaporeans have more disposable income for rings (as we mostly stay with parents and don't have to rent) so it shows in ring budget as well.

There are some differences in industry too, I believe sales, finance won't take a second look at a 1-carat ring/branded bag but technology industry happens to be one of those where people do earn some money but choose to dress very simply because these people are more utilitarian.

Sometimes it's the social circle lor. I have to say if a lady has very small and slim hands, it's easier to say "Oh, I think 1ct is too big so I'm happy with 0.65ct" but if a lady has thicker fingers, this option is out...

Aiya dunno why people kept thinking about months of salary, just spend whatever you think your partner would be happy with, it’s a once in a lifetime special ring, also considering other factors like social circle, line of work, there’s many factors involved for a ‘suitable’ size. Well, unless the partner specsifically mentioned she don’t give a damn about the ring nor what her colleagues or friends might think of it then ok lor.

The more u see, the more attuned you get. The sales tact is often the same. The other tool is to ask to see the ASET scope images.

Hihi, would like some opinions. After weeks of deliberating, I've chosen to do a halo design with my super ideal round. I met one of JP's designer (Meng?) for some suggestions and she showed me some of her drawings of different halo designs. She's very helpful and now I'm spoilt for choices.

Which halo design you think is good? I'm torn between the square/round and pear/round. I like the marquise too. The more I look at it, the more I start to like it too. The baguette/round is nice and edgy too. Haiz.. I'm already having trouble to pick my best 2....

I’m of the view of a classic solitaire.
A halo is more a right hand ring for me. And definitely classic although I have seen some nice ‘flower’ clusters
Have a look at some actual pictures to see if u like the look

Others have chimed in previously to say House of hung will do it with CAD included.
There’s quite a few in lucky plaza.
