The girdle is very uneven. Some are big some are small. I rather you drop the clarity and get a better cut.

Thanks! Hahaha mine is B and my bf is G. We tried BG tgtr and it looked too crowded so we settled with B/G on each side.

Now the headache part is engraving! No idea what to engrave 🙃

Let your BF secretly ask JP to engrave the date he intends to officially pop the question and ring to u ... add a bit of secretive to the ring. :D

It’s a lot cheaper. Nothing wrong with fluorescent.
U got the GIA number for the Canary? Did u see the physical stone

Did not took down the GIA number. Just realise it will help so much with theGIA number. Yes. We did saw the physical stones at JP and Canary but it looks the same with naked eyes. Just thinking how did canary quote so much lower. Maybe its the internal specs that makes the different?

FYI, Canary is not SIC. Some are not even triple EXC or got fluorescence.

If its on the GIA cert i did saw the 2 mentioned diamonds are triple ex. Fluorescence wise i missed out on tht part. Yeah. But maybe its not SIC thts why they can quote much cheaper.

You can notice significant differences if you view both diamond side by side if you’re comparing SIC to Canary’s triple ex

Why dun u go down n compare a SIC vs HOH ideal.
If no difference to your naked eyes, then the Ideal cut will be much cheaper. Note there’s a price jump past 0.7ct

JP
0.6 F VS1 $5100 (SIC)
0.72 F VS1 $6800 (SIC)
0.72 F VS1 $8600 (Solasfera)

Past HOH prices
0.74 G VVS2 $5900 (Ideal)
0.72 F VVS2, $6100 (Ideal)
0.73 E VS1, $6200 (Ideal)

Canary
0.6 E VS1 $3700
0.72 F VS1 $5100

Which affects the light return of the diamond leading to less sparkly right to say so? :)

Yes and no.
U need to put the stones side by side n judge for yourself. If not, u need to see it with an ASET.

U can see that JP stones have depth 60-62 and they love a crown pav combo of 34.5/40.8

If u judge by numbers u can clearly see this HOH ideal with same numbers but less than ideal ASET

Yet there’s also a JP SIC that is outside the specs.
The Canary specs are outside the ranges, it’s not to say they are less sparkly. But yes chances of it being less sparkly is there

I gt my proposal ring from canary. Satisfied w the sparkle, price and service.. mine was a 57% table 62% depth. 35.5 and 40.6.. they also allow u to take it out to natural sunlight to view
