You so lucky! I went to JP and saw their white series. It literally look very white and bright when they brought it outdoors for me to see. It was 6pm+ when its dimish cloudy daylight and the diamond was still very bright. I saw they had very little white series stock left.. all need to custom cut. Lab growns I saw they left with 2 pieces in 1ct and naturals they have less than 10 pieces for the decagon. I'm still deciding if I should go natural or lab grown.. Either option needs abt 3 months to custom order so timeline is the same.

I must say their lab growns are top tier. No brown hue, stria issue and AGS cert. I went to Ion jewelry street to compare and the lab growns there are more expensive than JP. Summore their cut is not as good as the white series and IGI certs. Wonder how they can sell those.. I think people who buy from them probably don't know about JP 😂

I'm tempted to get the white series decagon lab grown.. just don't know if my gf will really prefer natural or lab growns. Anyone brought their gf for JP's education? Might be easier for JP to explain the difference to her than me.
I went with my bf. He was ready to pay 1ct natural decagon but in the end i chose 0.7ct lab grown decagon. To me i dont really care if natural or lab grown as long as it looks nice. The remaining cash I can use to buy something else lol.

I brought. My budget was 1ct decagon/10H&A , surprisingly for practical reasons, she chose 0.68ct SIC.

Interesting! She actually preferred the smaller size one? Practical as in to save on the budget or not convenient for her to wear too big? I know the upper of 0.6ct++ is rare and hard to get.

Thanks! I suss out my gf. She's ok with lab or natural and left it to my decision. She say as long as its from JP can already.. She watches alot of their videos. lol. I know JP's lab growns is the top tier ones already for lab growns. Just don't know what her parents or friends reaction will be like.

Smaller size suited her finger size better, individually we held a decagon, sic, 10h&a to her finger to see which suited her best. with the savings was able to add decagon melees to our custom design, a pair of earrings, also wedding band can bling out abit more with pavé setting.

would appreciate any comment on the following diamond ?

reserved this yesterday when I went to JP with my gf and was recommended this among the ready stock diamonds. gf's hand is small (lucky me) so 0.4 is probably the largest we are thinking to get without it sticking out on her finger :s13:

price is 2.5k excluding the ring setting

I think dont need to care about parents or friends reaction as long as your gf is ok. Your money is also part of your family money in the future, who is to comment so much about your's and your gf's choice.

By choosing lab grown, I also feel more at ease choosing wedding bands with melee diamonds (natural ones) as I dont want to spend too much money regardless whose money it is and manage to choose one I really like as well, bf happy I happy everyone is happy :)

actually depending on the cut.. my understanding is even if two diamonds of the same colour same clarity, will not look the same. so cut is the most important.

Oh nice.. decagon melees will be cool and give the extra bling. When they brought the diamonds outdoor to compare, the big ones are already so bright. Can't imagine how it will be for the melee smaller sizes man.

Thanks for sharing! My budget is still ok for either natural or lab. But I guess at the end of the day, most important is still the cut and I would have chosen the better cut which is their white series. Just that both their cuts for lab and natural are just as good. So harder to choose..

I trust Jannpaul cuttings. In terms of pricing, I think it’s about there. I had a 0.397ct Round 10 from Jannpaul, Colour F, VVS2 at about 2.7k.

You mean the green parts on the ASET? Those are the weak light return. Red is the strong light return. That image on the cert is a ''AGSL computer generated light performance map of this diamond''. It's not the actual ASET. You can ask JP to get the actual ASET photo or even better, the rotational ASET video. That one will be the most accurate.

Anyway, JP's standard is the strictest. And yours is the Decagon cut in their white series range thats already way better that the usual 8 hearts and arrows rounds.

Need some opinions on my ring design. I just received my 3D renders from JP. It looks way better than I expected. This is my first time customizing a ring (or rather first time buying a ring. lol) Will appreciate any experts for their opinion.

Here's the specs
- 18k white gold (outer) / 18k rose gold (inner)
- 4 sharp tip prongs
- Decagon melees on the white gold band
- JP signature melees on the rose gold band
- Half eternity (to allow resizing)
- Ring size 48

Main diamond is a 0.45ct Round 10 hearts & arrows (still deciding between the round 10 or decagon hearts & arrows). We can still change the diamond at this point of time.

The finger in the 3D is done in the same size as my gf's finger for scale. She's going to wear it on a daily basis so we don't want to look too big. Is it me or do you guys think the diamond is still too big? But I see some of you guys buying bigger sizes.

JP also designed it so that the ring can be stacked with a wedding band in the future if she plans to wear both together on the same finger. Do you think I should change any part of this design?

Nice design! Looks very lux. haha. The only comment I have is the rosegold prong tip. As I read somewhere that rose gold crown head and prong tips might not be that good the rose color will show into the diamond, which won't make your diamond look as white. That's why those going for those very yellow diamonds will purpose set in full rose or yellow gold to camouflage the diamond color.

This might be different for the round 10 though. As they do have a much better light performance than the other cuts and even SICs. You won't get those ''see through'' parts in the diamond even at tilts. So by right, the rose gold color shouldn't get reflected.

I got their decagon cut which is also in their white series collection. You won't believe the amount of compliments my wife gets man.. I'm tempted to put a decagon melee size on my wedding band too 😂

I am a girl and tried the rings in person at JP, I noticed prongs with rose gold dont look that nice vs white gold prongs. my ring size 49 going for 0.7ct, so I think yours should be fine, will not be overly big. One comment tho, on the side melees, maybe 2 on each side is enough instead of 3 on each side as it may press again the fingers then it's not so comfortable (I tried on my finger)

I'm going for similar design but with 2 melee on each side only and without the rose gold diamonds design you have in the middle as I feel can't really see in real life as it's on the side, and can save a lot of money without those. haha but very nice regardless!

I agreed on this part as well. The nature color of rose gold may "downgrade' your diamond color, as it have yellowish tone.

However, the most important part should be you and your gf. If really like the rose gold prong tip deign, just go for it.

Your own discussion and thoughts are the king.

Nice design by the way!
