1) i have one Ethernet cable from living room to cpu whats the name of the splitter thing i need to get so i don't need to keep removing my ethernet cable from cpu to ps4 and also to use both at the same time without losing internet speed? and how much?

2) how do i share the same speaker wire? currently using x2 speaker sets one for ps4 ( plugged into monitor ) one for pc plugged into back of cpu.. so what do i need and how much?

3) anyone know how to upgrade ps4 harddisk to more space and faster?

if iirc ps4 uses the seagate barracuda 3.5 inch hard drive, just get a new one and clone the ps4 hard disk to the new one. Fair warning, I cannot confirm if this will work

Ethernet splitter does not meet the requirement of using both concurrently. You can only use one of the connected cable at any one time but not both.

TS need an ethernet switch, not a splitter.

Get a 4 port gigabit switch for cheap. Can't go wrong with Dlink

It's called a network switch. Brands that have this product include TP-Link, Asus and D-Link.

I assume you are using RCA? Then get an RCA to 3.5mm for your PS4 then combine the two using a 3.5mm Y-cable (Not sure if this works though).

Yes network switch. They usually come in 5-port, 8-port, 16-port and 24-port. You just need a 5-port one. An example is the D-Link DGS-1005A.

You just need to plug the ethernet cables coming from your living room, PS4 and desktop into this device. So got three cables running into this thing. Then you are good to go.

Just remembered that PS4 only has HDMI and optical out. Forget about my previous post. How is your PS4 connected?

I connect my ps4 to my monitor using hdmi. Then from monitor to motherboard audio-in using 3.5mm male leads. This way i can adjust the volume from my pc keyboard. But take note this requires your pc to be switched on since the ps4 audio is being routed to monitor and then to pc and to pc speaker. And the monitor must have audio-out port.

As for the network, i use tplink gigabit switch.

you can use ethernet splitter. put splitter at both ends of your lan cable. connect 2 wires into router then at the end can split into 2 connection for pc and ps4

however speed will be limited to 100mbps

alternatively put your router in your room instead

Ok wait, let's get some things straight:

Networking - If your modem and router is 20 metres apart,
there might be speed difference due to latency.
I do not know what CAT class cable you brought.
In my opinion, if you want to do it properly you need
two LAN points.
Switch is also possible but the cabling will be messy.
LAN points are something like those in Poly/Uni where you can
just plug in.
LAN point will save the trouble of those messy cables.

2) PS4 - Only have HDMI connection, if you have connected
to your monitor. Check whether does you monitor have
audio out.
If have your speakers will be connected VIA there.
If don't have than you might need either a cheap soundbar
which has HDMI or a monitor that supports HDMI and audio out.

3) If your PS4 is running out of space, backup all your games save only
than reformat it.
I have PM you If you need help with LAN cabling
I can help you.

U will need an external DAC, something like schiit modi 2 uber. It has usb input, coaxial input and optical input.

For optical, u will need toslink 3.5mm to toslink cable. One side is 3.5mm thin and other is the short fat head. With this DAC, u can switch about pc and ps4. Note that your speakers need to be active, ie has its own power cable.

Schiit modi costs $299 in lazada. Use coupons and cc rebates to bring it lower.

FYI, im using audiogd nfb15.32.

I guess you didnt read my post. The audio output from the monitor can also be rerouted to your pc mother board audio-in jack. I believe all motherboards have that input jack. It's a normal 3.5mm cable with both male ends.

This way you can control the volume using your keyboard instead of the monitor. Whatever audio you're playing on your pc can be heard simultaneously while playing your ps4 game.

Of course if you have some spare cash, better to get amplifier with multiple inputs like what shadow mentioned

ok based on your inputs, i assume that your monitor has only 1 HDMI input which is currently used for the PS4....

IF your desktop has a HDMI out as well, u could easily get a cheap HDMI 3-1/5-1 switch from qoo10/ebay/taobao. So then your new speaker will be connected to the audio out from ur monitor.

Set the desktop audio to HDMI out then both ur PS4 and desktop can share the same speaker from your monitor

Incorrect, the ps4 uses 2.5" hdd. I have not tried cloning so I cannot comment however, a quick google has indicated that cloning is not advisable as it might have unallocated free space that you cannot use. I suggest downloading the latest firmware to a usb drive and do a fresh install to the new hdd instead, there are steps you can follow at sony's ps4 support. For your saves, you can just back them up and then transfer over to your new hdd.
