Hey guys,

Recently my PS4 started acting up and is auto ejecting discs and making beeping sounds! I can continue to play non-disc media but kind of risky to play disc based atm.

Since my PS4 is from US i can't go to the authorised service center

Did any of u had this problem b4?
Anyone know of a shop which can help me fix this?

Thanks!!

Usually the problem is due to the rubber foot directly under the eject button (if you place the PS4 horizontally) pressing against the button. The solutions can be:

- Place the PS4 vertically
- Remove the rubber foot (just pull it out)
- Tightening or loosening a particular screw for the optical drive (this is like a manual eject screw for removing disc, you turn it the opposite direction to see if it helps)

We had an old thread back at Gameaxis, it should still be readable:
http://forums.gameaxis.com/showthread.php?t=1743604

See if anything there helps.

If ur warranty is over:

Youtube video on how to do this.

I have personally done it and the eject issue is no more. Other fixes such as removing the rubber feet and tightening or loosening of the screw does not solve this issue. It is a design flaw where the eject button is too sensitive.

I did not even use a torx security screw driver, i just used a small spectacle screw driver to loosen the torx screws abit, then carefully unscrewed each of the 3 screws. That is the hardest part of the whole process, but is worth it for ease of mind. I put off doing this for months, and worry about the eject issue. Now? I only worry if i got time to play or not. Haha. Gd luck.
