Wireless charging uses magnetic induction to charge your iPhone. Don't place anything between your iPhone and the charger. Magnetic mounts, magnetic cases, or other objects between your iPhone and the charger might reduce performance or damage magnetic strips or RFID chips like those found in some credit cards, security badges, passports, and key fobs. If your case holds any of these sensitive items, remove them before charging or make sure that they aren’t between the back of your iPhone and the charger.

Only impact when charging wireless right? Normal charging with lightning cable no issue?
Have a metal plate in my cover for magnetic car mount.

Yep, this only impacts wireless charging.
If you're going to wireless charge with an addition magnet, you may run into issues of the magnet heating up to really high temperatures.

sorry to dig out old thread.

i always place an ezlink card with a magetic sticker to block the iphone so i can tap my phone on the ezlink sensors.

but recently i got an wireless charger as a xmas present. so am trying to get the best of both worlds now. i tried dismantling an ezlink charm, around 1.5cm x 0.5cm big after i dismantle, and place it wit the magnetic sticker behind my phone. As its really small, the wireless charging works, but the ezlink wouldnt work. If i take out the exlink chip from phone and use it on its own, then it'll work.

Just thinking is it the magnetic sticker not working anymore or is it the iphone magnetic field is too much for the ezlink sensor to sense?

Cause after i cut a small corner or the magnetic sticker for the ezlink chip, i place the rest of the magnetic sticker back to my original ezlink card and in between my phone again. Now the wireless charging actually works with the original ezlink card! but i believe its not gonna worl on ezlink sensors anymore.

Nothing to do with phone magnetism. Just try your ezLink card cutout outside the charging coil zone. If all fails get a flip case for your phone. Life is cruel. It sometimes won’t let us enjoy the best of both worlds without sacrifice.
