PSB Certification to Polytechnic Diploma

Hi, I have a friend who's doing a IT certification in PSB right now, and he wants to go to a polytechnic for diploma. Is it actually possible to go to the polytechnic diploma (SP, Nanyang Polytechnic, etc) from a PSB certification?

The answer is no.

Your friend will still needs GCE O or ITE qualification to enter Polytechnic.

Maybe for CET Diploma from Polytechnic, they will at least recognized Relevant WSQ Diploma qualifications (depending on sector, Programme & level - bridging course may be required) with at least 3 years of relevant working experience and WPLN (Level >= 6) may be accepted as ‘O’ Level equivalent English Language & Mathematics requirements.

For Part time (CET), your friend needs GCE 'O' Level (Different course have different requirement for subject and grade) and with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.

Having a GCE O is just not enough! So does your friend have good GCE O result for full time or additional 3 years of relevant working experience for part time?

I assume both you and your friend are foreigners since your friend do not have the subjects from MOE O-Level Syllabuses and you are not well versed with our education system.

It take 3 years for full time Polytechnic Diploma and 2.5 years for part time (CET) Polytechnic Diploma.

As for Private Diploma, it depend on the private school and the curriculum designer (awarding body).
