PSU clicking noise, need help.

i just switched it on and i can hear my PSU making some weird clicking noise. the last thing i want to do is to change it and the second last is to RMA it. does it pose any threat? its clicking at a really fast pace though.

Help please!

I read when that happens with gpu it's voltage issues. It may give large sparks & short circuit. Fire hazard.

this is scary man. now that i shut down and switched on, the sound is gone. but when i restart previously, it doesnt work.

Better RMA it. Else if it causes a surge, everything will be gone..i really means everything.

Best you rma, not worth the risk spending holidays in hospital. That incident I read was related to someone who asked the same question, and his gpu fried afterwards. It gave a foot long spark. It gave chirping & clicking noises.

hmm any idea where to RMA seasonic? i just got mine for abt 2 months. and do i have to bring anything?

What seasonic is this? Recently bought?

i got it from fortran actually. its seasonic m12II bronze 520W. got it from him arnd early november 2013. shld be still under warranty hor?..

Just to make sure anyone who doubt his service, im sure fortran is really good. probably just i unlucky ah. Actually i'll still recommend him if there is newbie like me who dont know much. :)

alright thanks.. u succeeded in scaring the **** out of me. hahaha.


Better be safe lah. It ever happens to me before. Turned on and suddenly just off within seconds. In the end whole system gone case, except monitor. :D

smth similar. hahaha. its my first time doing rma actually. basically i just bring the entire PSU down to corbell and exchange on the spot? do i have to bring all my cables and box as well?

think just the psu can le. don't need bring cable
