Hello all,

I am having this issue and would like to know if I should change my PSU.

(1) When turning on my mains, no LED lights are lit on, gonna wait a few minutes (when gfx led lights are on) then I can turn on my desktop. During this period of waiting, it is impossible to boot my desktop.

(2) Once it is turned on, there no issues with the desktop, all is running normally. I have checked mobo for bloated CAPs and none were found. All power cable connections are properly fitted with no exceptions found.

(3) I have tried changing to another power socket / mains but the problem do replicates itself.

So now I am not sure if it is a dying motherboard or a PSU atm. Would a dying CMOS battery be at fault too?

Hard to tell whether motherboard or psu problem. Both are the most prone to failure. Cheapest troubleshooting will be to buy a FSP Hexa 500W psu to try boot your motherboard. S$68 to do troubleshooting yourself. If still fail, get a new motherboard & cpu setup, and the new PSU can still be useful.
