Hi all,

Planning a build with the following:

MSI Tomahawk z170
i5 6600k
Corsair H80i
MSI Gaming R7 370 4gb
Samsung 950PRO pcie M.2 SSD

I will be planning to do OC.

Can anyone recommend a PSU? I was looking at the Seasonic X650.

Thanks!

Using superflower now, quite good.

Pls take note though if you want to get custom cables it might be difficult to do so, havent managed to find any yet.

Can get EVGA custom cable. It will be compatible since Superflower is their OEM.

Can get EVGA. Very cheap from Amazon. 10 years international warranty too.

I sent my superflower cables to China via 淘宝 and they did shiny silver wiring on it. :s13:

if going to oc cpu, suggest checking if board supports adaptive vcore, or only fixed & auto. and whether got llc, but if only mild cpu oc then maybe not req'd...

i had used 4 type of brand psu for this past few years superflower, fsp, seasonic
Replaced my dead 6yr acbel psu 450w to superflower hx green 500w.....solid and good psu lasted me for 1 yr unti
Due to upgrade to gpu r9 280x.....500w not enuff for overclocked fx 8350
sell my superflower psu then bought Fsp 700w 80+ gold....start to give coil whine noise and went to rma got reply from the tech "nothing wrong with the psu" answer....give up with the dont care tech attitude replaced to Seasonic X 750w with 7 yrs wty very quiet,no coil whine noise and very solid and still using it until now changing from amd to intel system
