PT degree cert different from FT degree cert

heard that a part time degree cert and a full time degree cert is different.
a part time one will have "part time" printed.

is it true?

Your certificate awarded by the institution should be the same. However, your PEI contract with the PEI will state that it's a part-time course, which doesn't matter since nobody sees it anyway.

I do not know how you arrive at this conclusion? Care to share more of your experiences?

Personally, if we are referring to part time students, they are usually with experience. When you have relevant experience, then the cert is just a stepping stone. Give a few example.

1. A director who does his MBA full time or part time or EMBA doesn't matter as long as he has sufficient working experience

2. Similarly if I am hiring an engineer with 5 years working experience. It doesn't matter his degree is full time or part time because experience counts

3. If you are hiring a fresh grad, again no difference in my opinion.

In job hiring, it is unlike exams where the top students get the job. Depends on other factor as well. In some agencies, interview are conducted in a panel so everyone will have their opinion as well

Most important is to have a real and recognize cert.

If they look at your resume, they may ask you for clarification, like seeing your work experience years coinciding with your degree ones. I have been asked this a few times in my interviews and there is nothing wrong with it.

And a bit of knowledge - the partner university does not care if the course is completed full time or part time by the students. Usually the degree awarded is the same, with the university's seal, the level, name and the chancellor's signature. Even UOL international programmes (then called "external") had removed their mode of study from their degrees a few years back.

Iirc those external LSE program only the cream get to go on scholarship and the best are given the chance to switch to full time. If so isn't there diff? Even sim Manchester does something similar.

The dropping of external and campus seem like they want ppl to put lesser focus on campus that's not that great. Overlook that and boost enrollment.

You are required to sign a PEI contract with the PEI when you enroll for a higher education course. This is set by the Council of Private Education for the EduTrust certification.

A uni does care if not why set double standards when u are applying for full time program? Or even transfer program set diff standard? Uni doesn't care as it's for profit! They made an attempt to set things up why see it fail?
