Purchasing Windows 10 queries

noob question,

anyone knows if i purchase windows 10 DVD from retail,
can i download the version off the Windows website and use the license key purchased from the retailer?

saw some license selling dirt cheap on shopee/q10 but remain skeptical

reason is i'm trying to set up a new rig but do not wish to purchase a USB dvd reader.

trying to create a boot drive from USB.

any other advice would really be appreciated.

No problem using the key and download the Win10 from MS website. Those dirt cheap keys worked too. Bought and tried before.

According to a few sites, Win7/8 retail box key will still work, ie. if you have 1 around.

just go taobao, search for windows 10 and buy it.

after paying, you will receive the code immediately.

it's only S$2 if i remember correctly

Be careful of fake license key.

I prefer to buy windows 10 license from ebay. Used Kinguin and G2A. ebay is cheaper and ebay resolution in case of issues is much faster.

cheap keys are volume license win10 key.
When the volume license holder get suspended so will your keys.
If you don't mind swapping out keys every other time you can go for the cheap keys online.

OEM DVD keys if you want peace of mind.

MS doesn't give a toss what key/license consumers use as long as they use Windows 10.

If you are guai guai, spend $100+ on retail license. If you don't want to contribute to mega corporations, just buy those cheapo keys and buy again if kena deactivated.

Use the Heidoc tool to download Windows ISO file, then use Rufus to setup the ISO into a USB stick.

Yes, that's where the moolah is.

Even if machine shows as activated, if got no paperwork to prove that a license was indeed purchased or provided with the machine, it counts as an NC and $$$ to MS.
