Hi all, im admitted into NUS Architecture last year and im required to take this module due to the fact i only got GCE N Level.
To help with your curiosity, im transit from N lvl to ITE to Poly and ended up here.

According to the department, it is due to the fact i do not have a O lvl or A lvl that why i need to take this module but im wondering. What does Maths got to do with Architecture as the module is more of bridging Maths or engineering maths (Correct me if im wrong)
And architecture have no mathematics exams or what sort according to the course outline. In additional, im like hello... Im not from school of engineering you know ?

Anyone with similar case or in other faculty that have the same problem as me required to take this module ?

First time i hear people ask if Math has anything to do with Architecture. How far are u into architecture? Even a layman would probably know that design of architecture would probably heavily involve physics and math, in particular Pythagorean related theorems that make certain designs possible I guess? Calculus? Trigo? If not how are you going to draw your designs?

From someone with 0% knowledge of architecture. I am puzzled
