I know it sounds noob...but

can I use a those universal wireless receiving pad(micro usb) to charge a NON-NFC cell phone?

u need to get a usb receiver plug into your phone. The receiver "received" the power from the charging pad. But in actual fact it is the same as plugging your phone to the charger.

Depending on your phone model, some such as Samsung Galaxy 5 allows wireless charging enable back cover (link) and voila wireless charging enabled.

NFC (near field communication) is another technology which is not related to wireless charging.
