Hi ,

As recommended by one bro on the forum. I'm looking to buy a 2nd hand GPU for CS:GO
to game on a 1080p.

Of course i hope it will play most games. LOW is fine because i dont see the point of eye
popping graphics. I have the ipad for that albeit a smaller screen.

My budget was initially $150 for a 7750/7770 at SLS. Because there were not any on sale. Then i saw this guy;WTS 2 AMD HD7770 - www.hardwarezone.com.sg

However i have never purchase 2nd things and i will like some input. Because he has no past transactions and condition is listed as decent which makes me worry. :halo2: Thanks for the reading and give me you input tks.

Buying 2nd hand most important is ask for receipt and check warranty status. That's about all.

It's cash on delivery right?

As long as there is card warranty, receipt is there, i dun really care about the lack of rep.

It's not as if i need to pay first, then that is a no-no for me. Unless is someone i know. :D

Always check for physical damage on the card as well. For me, I may even sniff it to check if there is any burnt smell as I have experience with a few burnt cards, so I can identify the smell. Do note physical damage is not covered under warranty. So just to be safe. :)

Ya one more thing. Got such card such as twin frozen?
MSI got 3 product lineups for GPU: Reference, Twin Frozr and Lightning. Twin Frozr makes use of conventional dual-fan cooling but does not have so much overclocking ability as the Lightning version. Used to be Twin Frozr, Twin Frozr II, Twin Frozr III, Twin Frozr IV (Power Edition). Now their Gaming series sorts of takes over this Twin Frozr lineup.

I would recommend u get the 7850 instead. Coz it is a more decent card. Getting 7770 is like buying an OEM computer off the shelves and playing games with them. Second-hand 7850 shld sell off at $150-$200, depending on condition of card.

And second thing: the Gigabyte 760 was okay mah, y sell off? U lose money in the process leh...

you shld just save your 760, and let it be done with.. Be it you want to game or not...at least you gt a powerful card with you, anytime gt small urge 2 game a bit, you can do it..

with a lousier card, you may feel that it is not adequate enough...

Hey bro, we maybe going for the same type of graphics cards in the 2nd hand market if you are deciding going for it...:D

I have a $200 budget and there are options for GTX 560Ti with warranty, GTX 650Ti with warranty, GTX 580 1.5GB without warranty and the AMD5970 with $50 bucks more...These are still good cards that can play a lot of games in med-high settings in 1280X1024 at least...

To be honest, with these options, I still do not know what I should be getting. I don't OC, do not really game but like to run nice benchmarks, video streaming to TV and monitor at the same time and I only use it for my 5-6 OS virtualization running under VMware simultaneously.:)
