Yes. This has already been in placed since year 2015... when 5-stations has been reduced to 3-stations time.

Now, to avoid having to pass IPPT, u need either 10 IPT or 20 RT sessions .

Read NS portal for info.

all bookings are currently suspended. U can try book the next avail sessions first and is depending on how the crisis goes by that time as it may be suspended further.

If you are eligible for waiver, Mindef would had already sent u a message.

Still need to take IPPT on the 1st and last sessions.

The only good thing is you are considered fulfilled your IPPT requirements as long as you took 10 IPT sessions regardless of whether you pass or fail your IPPT on the last IPT session.

Think only if we pass IPPT or in perm PSC C/E then got chance to promote I suppose.

I every year failed my IPPT but fulfil my requirements through IPT and my fellow specs in the platoon (non combat) mostly have promoted to 2SG and some even 1SG but I still stuck at 3SG. I don't give a damn anyway as having a higher rank in reservist have more cons than pros IMO.
