Qn regarding GPU

Recently my fren purchased MSI 660TI power edition
When playing d3 whenever there's mass monsters meteor n other affix at the same time he start to lag
Is it because of the gpu
He cfm that moment the ping is green

What's his PC specs?

You might want to check if he has the latest drivers from NVidia and not using the cd given from the box.

I5 3470 8Gb ram Asrock h77 pro MVP
Game installed in HDD not SSD

Nothing much to advise here... if can, install the game on the SSD. Make sure ram is in dual channel config if two sticks.. or it could be just bad engine with d3. Try lowering shadow quality see if improve or not.

I have a similar problem with starcraft 2, when I spawn like 150 zerglings using a 7970
