Qn. Windows OS where it stores?

When u bought a prebuild pc, where does it stores? Ssd, hdd, or motherboard? If it stores in ssd, by removing and replacing newer ones with 1tb or 2tb, will the os be gone?

i would be mildly shocked if they were incompetent enough to put the os on the hdd if an ssd is already included. usually u would want the os to be as fast as possible so i would expect it to be installed on the ssd. motherboard has no storage capability.

yes if ur replacement drive is brand new without any os preinstalled, but u can always create a windows installation usb with the os in the original drive, install ur new drive and install windows from the usb.

If you buy from the infamous, aggressively marketed A brand then you may find the OS installed in the HDD instead of the SSD.. don't ask me why. Perhaps it is to give you a first-hand experience of a shock.

Prebuild as in branded or those assembled PC like from Caurosell?
Usually should be on SSD but if it is from Caurosell sellers, how the PC is configure can be confusing.
I do encounter assembled PC the Windows is configured on both HDD and SSD.

So if you are buying second hand PC or assembled PC from Caurosell best to ask the seller.
