Hi guys. I am contemplating whether to sign up for Samsung Concierge due to the yearly waiver of penalty upgrade fee.

However, i noted that phone have to be return for the exchange. Suppose that the penalty fee is 350 and we return the phone to waive off that, isnt it as good as trading in a phone with a value of 350 (since the value wont drop alot within a year) to pay for the penalty fee.

So how does this concierge thing works exactly? Thanks.

I shall quote the website for your referral:
http://www.samsung.com/sg/samsungconcierge/

Samsung high end phones are valued more than $350 after a year from launch, this is a fact. I can't possibly tell you that its worthwhile to return the phone in exchange for $350 as you can sell your phone outside for more than that value.

What samsung concierge is useful for a one-time payment of $38 is that it offers:

1) 30 days 1-1 exchange for functional defects (dropped and spoilt is not counted)
2) On-site service (meaning going to your office, your house to service)
3) 50% off repair services for out-of-warranty repair. (like liquid damage or screen cracked etc)
4) data switch service (this is a bonus for tech-"idiots", but i'm sure u can do it)
5) annual phone upgrade of up to $350 value

To me, only the on-site service, 50% off repair and 1-1 exchange are the most enticing. $38 for such "insurance" coverage is worth it in my own opinion.. :D

It's good for those with jelly abusive hands whom made their phone look as if it has been run over by lorry after a year.
