I strongly believe they are black market sets. Now the sellers are claiming do not upgrade to iOS11 if not device will brick and they are not responsible

the touch id is paired with its logic board. almost all of that being sold that touch ID does not work anymore, is because they had been repaired before. only certified apple techs can re-"pair" these parts.
