Chipping is not suppose to occur so easily for quartz (compared to sintered or acrylic). That means their mineral/resin blend is probably low 80%.

Then they should jolly well know that customer complaints and claims on warranty will be higher and have to factor that into their operating costs (i.e. the Prism+ model for monitors). Therefore newbie has the right to claim on that warranty or demand full slab replacement.

thats my 2 cent.
are you sure lower quartz content means more prone to chipping? on the contrary i would think higher resin percentage should logically result in a less brittle material, as quartz is the hard but brittle component, while resin is the soft but flexible component.

in any case, you need to better understand how typical warranty terms and conditions work. and paying for an inferior product and expecting the performance of a more expensive product doesn't make any sense.

Same here - 4-5yrs of heavy kitchen use with a china quartz and no chipping experienced.

thats why i say newbie’s case is extreme, either abusive user/homeowner or a plain lemon (inferior product). If the latter i stand by my point that warranty claim is fully valid and reasonable. Even if its the former then its the brand/company to prove and advise homeowner accordingly.
