[Query] iPhone 5s back up question

Hi guys, I purchased my iphone 5s early this year, and have never sync it with itunes before. After half a year of usage.. it's loaded with a lot of important contacts and data. my question is, if i want to sync my iphone with itunes, do i just plug it in and let it sync automatically?

just want to play safe and ask here before connecting it to itunes for the first time... because last time my sis lost all her phone data because itune was the main sync and it had nothing on it.

y not enable iCloud backup. no need iTunes. u get 5gb free to backup.

do a full backup to itunes(manual backup), so that u can restore it next time.

1. dont share computer login. if unsure, just create a new account on the pc/mac and use that.
for me, 1 computer login per apple device as all doesnt share.

2: on computer side, find the authorise this computer option. enter the apple id you use for purchases.
i think itunes will auto prompt you this step.

3. plug phone, click backup, click transfer purchase. then you can click sync button.
