Query of Asus laptops.

I am currently looking for a asus laptop for school and video-watching.

I have some laptops in mind. Do advise which one would be better.

If possible, please quote me the price.

The laptops are the following.


1. Asus K55VD Laptop
2. Asus S56CM
3. Asus S46CM

First and foremost, what is the screen size you want?
K55
S56

are all 15.6"

K45
S46

are all 14"

Between K and S series, S series is definitely a better buy due to its better graphics of GT635 vs GT610. It is also lighter in weight, slimmer, longer battery life, with 24GB SSD and is only $100 more.

Yes, got built in cd drive.

My suggestion is get the 15.6 if u can afford a 2nd portable laptop cos the 14 is hardly portable so might as well get the biggest size.

get the lightest one especially if going to school... your books would kill you already, you would not want an extra 3kg laptop to hold you down... UX32VD?

Software that I am going to run: I am not very sure. Programming or/and software engineering related programs and some music or/ and video programs, I guess.
Games: I don’t think so. Not much of a game person.
Processor: I guess an decent i5 would be enough.
Will prefer if the weight is on the lighter side.

I will try to go down soon as well.

programming software really does not need a powerful processor... any ULV i5 would do fine... can get the lower end ultrabooks for your purpose... for schoolwork i recommend getting a computer with an SSD...
