Asking on behalf of friend not in Singapore.

My friend have this situation. She is currently holding a SG PR but residing in Malaysia.

Is it possible to carry out divorce proccedings in Malaysia if the marriage is registered in Singapore in 2010 or must come back SG?

A friend of mine is from Brunei, wife from Malaysia. Both of them live in Singapore. When they got divorced, proceedings were done in Singapore because where it is done depends on where they have lived for the past few years (not sure how many).

Yupz. thanks. I just checked with Family court. You are correct, both must be in the same country.
