Question about CPU Coolers and Casing Coolers

Hi all, would like to ask if installing a cpu aftermarket cooler helps to bring the over all cooling on in the case * not just that cpu * . Not intending to overclock it but due to the temp from the gpu is quite high .Thanks , sorry for the noob qns :s22:

It may help a little bit as the aftermarket cooler may have a stronger fan which can move more air, which result in more air being moved.

However if you really want to cool down your GPU it will be better to install a fan in front of the GPU, and add an exhaust fan at the back of your casing

Or just take out the side cover

tall tower designs may reduce direct airflow to components near the cpu, possibly shortening their lifespan

low-profile coolers solve this but it cant use heat-pipes as efficiently and they may have issues with clearance from tall memory modules or the graphics card

if your gpu is quite hot, when was the last time you clean it?
if not improving airflow into case is your best option

vent hot air top/back
intake cold from front/bottom
if lots of obstruction at intake fan like 5 HDD ;), get static pressure fans (i enjoy keeping my HDDs at close to ambient)
