Question about HDMI/DV PORT cables

Hi All

I just noticed..my GPU has only 1 HDMI port and 3 DP Ports, plus something called Dual Link DVI

I connect my monitor with the HDMI as it does not have any DP inputs

Question -

1. Is there any advantage to using a DP to HDMI cable for the monitor?

If no difference or worse, and I continue use the HDMI to HDMI for my monitor -

2. Can i hook connect my TV from the GPU using a DP to HDMI cable?

if you have 4k monitor you can use dp to hdmi.

but my monitor [ LG 27MK600 ] is not 4K, just IPS
