Thinking of hopping over for a quick trip mainly to visit friends we've made there over the years, so mostly outdoors and not able to enjoy (and pay+travel more) the likes of rooms from DoubleTree and such.

I think they close off their breakfast side, I used to have breakfast there. Actually hatten is just next door. Worst case if it's only for a couple of nights, maybe I'll go stay in the Quayside container rooms.

That was back on 2008 and 2009. Once switched to Hatten, then never booked that again.
I remembered during that time always dashed across the highway. Now even more cars, so I think it's more so difficult. Can go below the highway, but will end up having to move away from Makhota Parade. Another way is to use the traffic lights at the other end. But I think that one gotta wait quite long.
Last time could see the sea right behind it. Now it's landlocked. Bleh.

I was told Pak Putra is the famous one, but never got a chance to try coz each time I got nearby I always had a Haagen Daz in my hand, bought just before reaching PP.Makan tandoori chicken in Malacca During CNY. Chick Very moist and hot and spicy
