Question about Malacca

Hi, I am going to Malacca somewhere in June for 3D2N. Can somebody kindly advise me what are the recommended coach service available? how much does the fare cost?

Also regarding accommodation, which place to stay in? (hatten?)

This trip is mainly for shopping and eating.

Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

was planning melaka trip for my friends, hatten hotel is around 104 for two ppl. Coach to Melaka is around 50 dollars two ways . You can go easibook.com or busonlineticket.com book, never tried booking from there before

try transtar log, i dun recommend day tour, at least stay one night... cos the journey by coach is ard 4-5 hours. very tiring.

Will be heading there this coming long weekend. Stay north so definitely go by causeway. What is a safe time to pass custom without getting stucked in a jam? Before 7.30?

Tot of trying EDL instead of going thru Taman Sentosa. How much time can I save? No toll at EDL right?

From what I know, there is no bus that comes with internet. However, you may check with WTS travel or Luxury, their price is higher, but more comfortable.

Starmart advertises that its coaches come with Internet access. I did not have any success getting online at any point during my one trip with them.

I booked Hatten thru agoda.com, but it was stated max only 2 occupants while i have 2 adult and 1 child. Any idea will they impose any restriction?

unless u need extra bed. the bed should be enough for 3 of u unless u are big in size. can ask the child to sleep on the sofa.

I will go to Malacca in July. Got a few questions. Please help me.

1. I want to take coach from Johor to Malacca. My plan is early morning take taxi to Kranji MRT, take 970 to bus station in Johor then buy coach ticket to Malacca. I want to reach Malacca before 1 pm. What time do you think that I can start from Kranji? Are there many coaches to Malacca in the morning?

2. Can you please recommend me a budget place for 1 night in Malacca?

3. My plan is staying in Malacca for 1 night. Do you have some recommended places to go in afternoon, evening and the next morning? where to eat lunch, dinner?

Fenix Inn (opposite Palawan Mall), Puri Hotel (one street behind Jonker Street), Bala House and many many more.

you can read this thread or other thread in Malacca in this forum. There are many recommendations.

Not all Starmart bus comes with online.. as the arrangment of buses will only be known one day before departure

tried to look for coach online, not sure is it because they have not added the trip as it's still 2 month away, or because it's the first day of hari raya puasa so trips are limited? (even starmart only has night coaches)

normally i would choose the adventurous way, eg take public bus to larkin then buy a tix up then get return tix when i arrive, but the dates fall on long weekend so i thought it's better to confirm both ways first.

anyone went malacca during hari raya can advise?

hatten 2 nights during the period is around $250~ .. reasonable for PH

Normally coach operator will only open their schedule one month in advance before departure.. expect super jam during holiday period,

Unless no choice, try to avoid long weekend.
