Hi all,

I have a question about how to submit medishield claim.

I have been advised by my GP to go for a day op. I intend to do so at a government hospital. I know I will be charge at private rates.

I have AIA healthshield goldmax A with rider to cover deductibles and co-insurance.

Therefore, it will cover the entire cost of the day op portion, right?

However, there will be consultation before and after the op. Are these consultations claimable? (maybe will have tests or xray as well)

I've checked the AIA and MOH website and understand that you need inform the hospital if you want to make the medishield claim on the day.

If the consultation are claimable, I need to inform the hospital that I want to claim at the my 1st consultation?

Or inform the hospital on the day of the op itself and it will be back-dated to include the previous consultation?

How about the consultation after the op?

Thanks

Hi Bro,

Thanks for the reply. That what i understand from the reading my contract too; Pre & Post Hospitalization benefits.

I guess my main question is, say i go to the hospital for the 1st consultation today, at private rate, it will be around $100 (maybe more i have to go for some tests or xray on the day). At this time, i can inform the admin at the payment station that i want to claim under my isp? Or do i have to wait till the day of the op to inform?

Hi,

You can hold on to all the Pre Op receipts and diagnosis first. On the day of Op, the hospital already have record of your Hospitaliztion Plan, so they will proceed with an E-filing to AIA.

As you do not have an agent to service you, you can download the claim form manually from AIA website, and submit your Pre Op documents up to AIA. Same goes for Post.

Pre and post is 100days for AIA.

ya, as previous post stated, no need kancheong, only after admission and after your hospital claim for u, u have all the evidence with aia, then u can claim pre/post. Just use the best credit card to pay first, keep all the receipts pre/post, when 90/100 days past, submit your claim, hahaha, use the best rebate credit card lor, hahaha

Thank you very much bro Aerial, wts

A minor follow up question:

1. Do i have need to submit the pre & post claim together? Or can they be submitted separately?
