Lol massdrop is others say MO, but they MO and drop the whatever is the original price to special price. But this doesn't applies to shipping, since their base operation is USA(iirc).

Ezbuy can always go by sensitive air shipping. Normal air cannot.

But word of advice, try not to get powerbanks from overseas, be it in the US or in China.

Here is my fair share of what happened to one of my Aukey PB-Y1 20000mAh powerbank with Type C.

I bought 2 of it from Taobao, and used EZbuy Buy-For-Me service to ship both the powerbank to SG. There was no restrictions to the amount of powerbank to ship to SG. So after buying 2 of it, 1 of it after almost 1 month worth of usage, it split opened from the side, but its not the cell that went bloated and cause the powerbank to split open. It was the housing of it that split open.

So i have decided to do the RMA. I emailed in to EZbuy regarding the powerbank issues and was told that they do not do the exchange once after customer collect and use the items that was deemed fine when it was first collected from them. If i want to do the RMA, i must bear the cost of sending the powerbank back to Shanghai EZbuy customer service centre, and they will do the RMA for me with the seller.

Now here comes the irritating part. I went to check with Singpost, they do not ship lithium batteries. I have to find DHL, Fedex, UPS, TNT and other big boys to ship lithium batteries. What interesting is that all of them mentioned that i need to get it certified that the powerbank is safe for delivering. Even if i were to certify it that it is safe, it will cost a whooping $75-80 for 500g to Shanghai.

Which cost 2x more than the powerbank would cost. Went home, contacted Aukey direct. Best of all, they do not do RMA. Only strictly for Amazon to do the RMA.

I was so mad, and i contacted EZbuy again and explained to them my situation. After a long email to them, they finally agreed to send the powerbank back via their courier channel. But i have to pay the cost for the powerbank to return to me.

In all, due to lithium batteries are involved, try not to buy from overseas. RMA is indeed a hassle and not going to be good. That's how i ended up with the newer model Aukey PB-Y3 30000mAh powerbank bought from the local distributor igloou. Slightly more expensive, but the price paid for the ease of warranty is there.

And i will never buy any powerbanks that do not meet this few criteria:

- No type C input/output
- No Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0/3.0
- Minimum 1* 2.1A charging port.

but i dont need type c.

i think can buy fr lazada/qoo10 to enjoy local warranty? if u worry abt qc and future troubles.
i will go for cheaper taobao though

ezbuy sensitive air shipping is sgd4.99 per 500g
so buying from mi.com is about sgd36.48
so i save about 25% at the cost of almost no warranty and a chance of confiscation due to lit ion batteries...

i myself dont think the saving is worth it as compared to no warranty. i bought fr taobao simply because lazada/qoo10 didnt have the new gen..

it wont be confiscated though..at least not that i heard of..they shipped all items with batteries (not only lit bat) using sensitive air, should be okay d.

Imho, SG locally do not have much options of "good" powerbanks. What i meant by good is that, there aren't much options for multi port powerbanks that allow to charge more than 2 devices.

Here we have Xiaomi, it is good, it is deemed reasonably priced, but one thing that Xiaomi lacks is the inclusion of Type C output port.

Apart from that, they have only 1 20000mAh powerbank that has dual Type A port that can support Quick charge 2.0 and that took them very long to bring in to SG.

Even the Xiaomi 10000mAh pro powerbank is a half baked powerbank. Supporting only Type C input and no output. Making users to find a quick charge 3.0 charger to charge the powerbank faster.

So resorted into looking at Aukey locally. They have the 30000mAh with 1 Type A for normal charging, 1 Type A for Quick Charge 3.0, and 1 micro input, and 1 Type C for input & output supporting of 3A charging.

There are so many advance reputable powerbanks out in the US market that were much more advance than Xiaomi's offering. We have Anker, Aukey, Jackery, Vinsic, Tronsmart, Orico, and RAVpower that are much more versatile in supporting other type of output charging. Which is good for now as more and more handphones and other laptops are using type C charging, and also some older devices are still using Type A charging output.

Buying from overseas is a hit or miss. If it work out fine then good. If it doesnt, especially for powerbank, you can forget about exchanging, and you got to buy a new one again.
