Hi guys,

My Alienware X51 from 2 years ago (?) finally broke down and I was just wondering if I can take out the components to fix it up myself and still have that form factor?

Are you reusing your Alienware X51 casing?

If yes, you need to do research. There will be product that are able to fit into your casing.

Alternatively, there is also casing like Alienware X51 in the market.

All you need to do is research.

Unlikely, I've fixed one broken X51 couple of months ago. The casing is not compatible with the commonly found DIY motherboard and PSU, the power brick is not much of use either for DIY casing.

All you can savage are the processor (heatsink not much use too), graphic card, ram modules, HDD from the X51 case. The rest go into the thrash if you are not able to savage the Windows7 licence.
